Wild ride
Police arrested a 26-year-old man for a terrifying carjacking and chase on Seaview Avenue on May 25.
The owner of the vehicle told police he was in his 1998 Honda Civic near Canarsie Road 6:56 pm when the suspect jumped into the car, whipped out a knife, and threatened to kill him if he didn’t get out of the vehicle.
According to police, the suspect drove five blocks, with an officer in tow, hitting parked cars along the way, which caused significant damage to the car and minor injuries to the cop.
Swatted
A 21-year-old woman was arrested for swatting a woman with a broomstick on Schenck Street on May 31.
The victim said she was between Skidmore Place and E. 91st Street at 1:00 pm when the suspect attacked her, wielding the sweeper.
Power robbery
Police arrested a 27-year-old man for drilling off a padlock door and trying to enter a residence on Flatlands Avenue on May 30.
The owner of the home between E. 93rd and E. 94th streets told police he was at 9:54 am when the suspect — armed with two power drills and a hammer — tried to break into his home.
