The armory

Cops arrested a 47-year-old man for trespassing inside his former Lake Place apartment on Jan. 12, where cops found him surrounded by crates of ammunition.

The landlord of the apartment between W. Eighth and W. Ninth streets called police at 8:30 am, complaining that the former tenant, whom he had evicted three days earlier, busted back into the apartment.

Police said they found the suspect hiding in a closet inside the apartment, with crates of hollow-point cartridges, explosive powder, mortar pipes, mortar rounds, and electronic detonators strewn about the room — in plain sight.

The suspect is not being charged in connection to the horde of ammunition, according to police sources.

Cash-strapped

Police are looking for a loan shark who called and threatened a complete stranger’s Brigham Street home more than 40 times before Jan. 11.

The victim told police that the repo man has been continually calling his home between Avenues W and X, demanding $21,000 and threatening to have him deported. The victim said he has never met the confused man before and he certainly doesn’t owe him any money.
