Jump street
A gang of goons jumped two people on 92nd Street on Jan. 13, according to cops.
The victims said they were near Fifth Avenue headed for food at 4:20 am when a group of six to eight thugs came up behind them and knocked them to the ground. The brutes kicked and punched the pair, then took their wallets — with their credit cards inside — and fled.
Feel the pain
A knife-wielding crook mugged a man for his backpack full of painkillers on Narrows Avenue on Jan. 10, police report.
The victim told cops that he was between 68th and 69th streets at 9:44 pm when the fiend displayed the blade.
“Give me everything you got!” the villain ordered.
The victim handed over his bag — with three different kinds of pain pills, an iPod Nano, $30 in cash, and a library book inside — and the robber fled on 68th Street toward Colonial Road.
Cheap shot
A thug thumped a man on the back of his head for $300 in cash on 62nd Street on Jan 13, police say.
The victim said he was near 14th Avenue at 5:30 pm when the ruffian came up behind him and hit him at the base of the neck with a blunt object. The blow sent the victim sprawling, and the crook ransacked his pockets for his cash-packed wallet and cellphone.
Copycat crime
Three thugs coshed another man for $40 in cash and a BlackBerry on 62nd Street on Jan. 13, authorities say.
The victim reported that he was near 14th Avenue on his way to the train at 7:55 pm when a blow to the back of his head splayed him on the ground. The terrible trio then repeatedly punched the man before taking his wallet and phone.
Ripe for the picking
A thief swiped a woman’s iPhone on 67th Street on Jan. 12, cops report.
The victim told police she was near Third Avenue at 4:20 pm with her gadget out when the crook ran up from behind her and snatched the phone out of her hand. The lowlife continued on foot toward Fourth Avenue.
Treasure trove
A burglar pillaged an Eighth Avenue apartment for cash, electronics, and jewelry on Jan. 9, police say.
The victim said he left his building between 62nd and 63rd streets for work at 9:15 am, and his roommate took off to go shopping at 5 pm. When the complainant’s father came by at 5:45 pm, he saw that somebody had forced the door to the flat open and stolen $2,070 in cash, a new Mac laptop, a pricey camera, a Coach wallet, several watches, several pearl necklaces, and a diamond-studded gold neck chain.
