Drug dupes
Cops arrested two men, ages 31 and 33, for stealing over-the-counter drugs and gum from a Flatbush Avenue retailer on Dec. 6.
A security guard told police that he was working at the store between Utica and Filmore avenues at 1:25 am when he noticed the suspects take various dugs, including Vicks Nyquil, Enfamil, and some gum, before attempting to flee without paying.
The guard pursued the suspects outside the store, where a scuffle ensued as the duo allegedly threw punches at the guard. A beat cop noticed the fisticuffs and apprehended the suspects, cops said.
Shooting
A 22-year-old is being charged with attempted murder after allegedly shooting a man on Farragut Road on Oct. 14, police say.
The victim told police that he was between 59th Street and Ralph Avenue at 2:20 am when the suspect fired at him four times from a 9mm pistol, striking him once in the elbow. First responders rushed the victim to a local area hospital, where he was treated.
The suspect later admitted the to shooting during police questioning, officials said.
Snack time
A 24-year-old woman was arrested for punching and biting a man on his face on E. 57th Street on Dec. 4.
The victim told police that he was between Avenues J and K at 6:40 pm when the suspect punched him and then started gnawing on his face.
