Bad shopping experience

A 16-year-old boy was arrested for biting a woman and throwing a shopping cart at her on W. 24th Street on Dec. 2.

The victim told police that she was between Mermaid and Surf avenues at 12:45 pm when the suspect bit her hand three times. The suspect then hurled a shopping cart at the victim, striking her in the head, before cops arrived and placed the suspect in custody, according to police.

Brighton beat down

Police arrested a 32-year-old man who they say beat another man on Brighton Beach Avenue on Dec. 1.

The victim told police that he was near Brighton First Street at 10:15 pm when the suspect slugged him in the face and gut several times.

Sharp threat

A 24-year-old man was arrested for threatening a woman at knifepoint on W. Fifth Street on Nov. 30.

The victim told police that she was between Neptune and W. Brighton avenues at 4:50 am when the suspect approached her, knife in hand.

“Do you want to lose your life?” the suspect allegedly uttered, according to police.

Cracked out

Police arrested a 50-year-old man was who they say illegally parked a stolen car on Surf Avenue on Nov. 29, and then faced additional charges when police discovered crack cocaine in the stolen vehicle’s center console.

The arresting officer reported that he was near W. 21st Street at midnight when he witnessed the suspect park his 2001 Lexus RX300 in an illegal zone. When the officer ran the vehicle’s plates, he discovered that the vehicle had been reported stolen and, upon further investigation, found drugs, according to police.
