When nature calls

A 22-year-old man was arrested for urinating in public and then nearly running down a police officer while behind the wheels of a Ford Mustang on Caton Avenue on Oct. 14.

The arresting officer reported that he was near Ocean Avenue at 10:33 pm when he noticed the suspect taking a whiz on a nearby tree. When he asked to speak with the suspect, however, the suspect hopped behind the wheel of his gray muscle car and nearly ran down the officer, who was forced to jump out of the way to avoid the manic escape, officials reported.

Mean girl

A 16-year-old girl was arrested for beating and robbing another woman on Parade Place back on Aug. 24 — taking her handbag.

The victim told police that she was near Crooke Avenue at 5:25 pm when the suspect and a male accomplice began pummeling her, punching her in the face and body, before making off with her property.

Knife-point withdrawal

A 20-year-old man was arrested for robbing a man of his cash at knife-point on Avenue J on Oct. 12.

The victim told police that he was near Ocean Avenue at 5 pm when the suspect approached, knife in hand, and took his money.
