Brawl in the family

Cops cuffed a father and son who they say beat up their relative’s boyfriend after a verbal dispute in their 84th Street home on June 21.

The victim was arguing with his boo at his girlfriend’s apartment between Bay Parkway and 23rd Avenue in Gravesend at 10:10 pm when her brother appeared with a five-gallon water bottle and started smacking the boyfriend around, police said.

The girl’s 59-year-old father joined the fray and choked the beau, according to law enforcement sources. Police arrested all three but determined the father and son were the primary aggressors, though they also received injuries and were taken to Coney Island Hospital, reports state.

Rim robbers on a roll

An overzealous auto enthusiast is stealing wheels off of cars and leaving the rides on cinder blocks in Gravesend, say police.

• One victim parked his car at Cropsey Avenue and 25th Avenue around 10 pm on June 17 and returned the next day to find his wheels and rims were gone, according to police. The set was valued at $1,250, reports state.

• Another unlucky driver fell victim a mile away at Bay 20th Street on June 23, law enforcement sources said.

The man parked his car between 86th Street and Benson Avenue at 1:30 am, but when he came back the next morning, it was on cinder blocks, police said. Law enforcement officials believe the perp or perps possibly fled in a white van, reports state.

Crooked charges

A fraudster raked in thousands of dollars by charging credit cards obtained with stolen identities, according to police reports filed this week. The perp is swiping big-box store credit cards obtained under other people’s names — all were over 50 years old, reports state.

• A victim living on 84th Street between 16th and 17th avenues in Gravesend reported $917 in fraudulent charges on Target and Toys R Us credit cards on June 23, according to police.

• Another person living on 82nd Street between 21st Avenue and Bay Parkway told police on June 23 that he received Best Buy and Toys R Us cards in the mail, though he never applied for them, reports state.

The thief charged $4,820 in the man’s name, but police closed the investigation after finding the charges were made in New Jersey — outside their jurisdiction.

• A third person reported on June 23 that an identity thief racked up $5,620 on Target, Best Buy, and Toys R Us cards in Brooklyn and Manhattan, according to law enforcement sources.

The victim, who lives on W. Fourth Street near Avenue U, realized something was up when she received the cards in the mail — the perp had apparently been using temporary cards to make the fraudulent purchases, reports state.

That’s some severance

A disgruntled employee allegedly stole $11,125 from the safe of a supermarket at Avenue U on June 18.

The former worker entered the market near W. Sixth Street around 1:30 pm, opened a safe in the basement, and took the loot, reports state. An employee at the store saw surveillance footage and said she recognized the perp’s bag, police said.
