Big threat
A robber threatened to hurt a teenager walking on Broadway on April 23 and got away with the teen’s phone.
The 18-year-old victim told police that he was at the southwest corner of Lorimer Street at 2:20 pm when a man he did not know walked up to him.
“Handover your phone or I will hurt you,” the crook said.
The victim gave the robber his phone and he walked away.
Attacked
Two men attacked a young woman as she was walking to school on Debevoise Street on April 24.
The 22-year-old woman told police that she was on near Broadway at 5 pm when a man grabbed her by the neck. While he held her down, another man searched her pockets and pulled her phone out of her left pocket. Police said they will check a camera on Broadway for evidence.
Rocked
An unknown assailant threw a rock at a young boy’s head on Union Avenue on April 25.
The father of the 9-year-old boy told police that the boy was standing in the parking lot of his apartment between Lorimer and Walton streets at 3:10 pm when a man on a bicycle suddenly threw a rock over the gate and hit the boy on the forehead.
The assailant rode off and the boy was taken to an urgent care center, where he was treated and released.
Gang assault
Cops cuffed a cadre of gang members who they say attacked a man because he was not a Latin King on Union Avenue on April 24.
The 22-year-old victim told police that he was between Montrose Avenue and Meserole Street at 5:50 pm when 15 guys circled him.
“Are you a Latin King?” One of the men asked, and a second later another one threw a punch.
“Go get him, f--- him up,” another one of them said.
One gang member chased the victim while swinging a cane and another had a baseball bat. The victim escaped with no injuries. Police arrested a 22-year-old, a 17-year-old, and a 15-year-old. They were all charged with assault.
Afternoon slashing
An unknown assailant slashed a guy’s back and arm as he was walking down Keap Street on April 23.
The 21-year-old victim told police that he was walking between S. Third and S. Fourth streets at 5:25 pm when he suddenly felt a knife cut his back.
The assailant ran off and the victim went to Wyckoff Hospital to get his back and right tricep stitched up.
Low batting average
A gang of men surrounded a teenager and hit him with a baseball bat on Wallabout Street on April 23.
The 16-year-old victim told police that he was between Throop Street and Harrison Avenue at 8:15 pm when a group of men surrounded him and one swung a baseball bat at him, hitting his right thumb.
The assailants ran away and the victim was treated for his injuries.
Bad girls
Police arrested two teenage girls after they allegedly slashed a 14-year-old in the head and face on Siegel Street on April 22.
The victim told police that she was between Bushwick Avenue and Humboldt Street at 7:55 pm when the two older girls attacked her. Police arrested a 16-year-old girl and a 17-year-old girl and charged them both with the felony assault.
