A hungry thief stole a guy’s pretzel vendor cart off Norman Avenue on April 24.
The victim told police that he parked his cart parked between Banker and Dobbin streets at 7:45 pm. He stepped away for about 15 minutes and when he came back, it was gone.
Bejailzed
A bright-eyed man was arrested when he allegedly tried to steal jewelry from a Bedford Avenue store on April 26.
The suspect entered the shop between N. Fifth and N. Fourth streets at 4:25 pm. Police said he grabbed a handful of jewelry out of the front display case and tried to run out of the store.
The owner told cops he chased the man and struggled with him. The victim got a hold of the jewelry and the suspect tried to get it back from him before giving up and running out of the store, cops said. He was arrested a few blocks away and charged with robbery.
Takeout
Someone snuck into a man’s Lorimer Street apartment on April 23 and stole his property when the tenant stepped outside and left the door open for a few minutes.
The victim told police he left the door to his apartment between Withers and Frost streets open when he stepped outside between 9 am and 9:08 am. Later that afternoon, he noticed his Dell laptop and a coin bank both missing.
Inner-purse snatching
A pickpocket stole a woman’s wallet out of her purse as she was partying at a Union Avenue nightclub on April 20.
The 33-year-old victim told police that she went into a nightclub between Conselyea and Skillman streets at 1 am with her wallet inside her purse.
When she checked her purse again at 2 am, she found her wallet, which included her credit cards and ID, missing.
