Knifepoint cell swipe
Police arrested a 50-year-old suspect who they say flashed a knife at a woman and grabbed her cellphone out of her hands while she was on Westminister Road on Aug. 25.
The victim told cops she was between Caton and Church avenues at 3:20 am when the perp displayed the knife and snatched her cellular device, according to documents from the District Attorney’s office.
The suspect is facing charges of robbery, grand larceny, menacing, and criminal possession of a weapon.
Tag team
Two men were arrested for attempting to steal a man’s wallet on Foster Avenue on Aug. 23, cops said.
The victim told police he was near Marlborough Road at 11:54 pm when the two men surrounded the him and demanded that he hand over his identification.
Both suspects then reached into the victim’s pockets and tried to take his wallet, causing the victim to suffer lacerations to his finger, according to documents from the District Attorney’s office.
The two perps face charges of assault, attempted robbery, harassment, and menacing.
