Flailed arrest
A 23-year-old woman was arrested for assaulting a police officer and resisting arrest on July 28 on Ralph Avenue, police say.
The woman was at Chase Court at 3:36 am when she allegedly punched the officer in the face and hit him with her bag, causing his face to swell.
When the officer tried to arrest the woman she allegedly flailed her arms about to prevent the officer from taking her into custody.
Cashed out
Police arrested a man and a woman, both 53, who they say stole $20 from an undercover police officer on E. 104th Street on July 23.
The officer met the woman between Farragut and Glenwood roads at 4:50 pm and gave her cash in exchange for Alprozolam, a prescription drug. The woman took the cash and handed it to her accomplice, who took the money to a nearby building, and called for the woman to follow him, police said.
The duo walked off with the $20, without providing the undercover office with the medication.
