We didn’t start the fire
A man was arrested for allegedly starting a fire at a residential building on E. 26th Street on July 26.
A fire marshal viewed a surveillance tape of the man making a pile of material and debris in a corner near the stairs of the building near Flatbush Avenue at 4:15 am. According to the marshal, there were other men watching nearby who have yet to be found.
The suspect admitted to lighting the fire and faces arson and criminal mischief charges, cops said.
Best-dressed victim
Police arrested a man who they say harassed and robbed another man on Ocean Avenue on July 29.
The victim told police he was near Parkside Avenue at 10 pm when the suspect grabbed him by the tie he wore. As the suspect held the victim by the cravat, he allegedly took a grocery bag from the victim’s hand, but ultimately left the bag at the scene.
