Brooklyn Daily
With the recent demise of Williamsburg’s Zip112 Hostel, it appears Brooklyn has become more hostile to hostels.
What’s a poor hipster trying to soak in the scene to do? One solution is Airbnb, a peer-to-peer network for modern day bed-and-breakfasts, where you sleep in a stranger’s apartment without a guaranteed breakfast.
Like couch surfing on steroids, listings range from pull-out couches to private rooms to entire apartments. According to it’s web site, Airbnb offers beds in 34,183 cities in 192 countries. Brooklyn hosts live all over the borough, and it’s possible to book a room for any length of time at nearly any price.
Here is a small selection of what’s available in Brooklyn. For more information, visit the websites listed.
