Dognapping
Cops arrested a 19-year-old boy who they say stole a man’s dog from his E. 87th Street apartment on Feb. 6.
The victim told police that he left his home between Flatlands Avenue and Avenue J at 9:45 am, and returned at 4 pm to find his beloved boxer, along with his Playstation 3 and Dr. Dre headphones, missing. Police say the suspect admitted to the theft.
Crowbar crook
A 20-year-old man was arrested for allegedly attempting to break into a Flatlands Avenue laundry mat’s locked room on Feb. 12.
A witness told police that he was outside the business between E. 81st and E. 82nd streets at 7:10 am when he noticed the suspect inside trying to pry open a locked door.
When cops nabbed the suspect, they found him in possession of a crowbar and wrench, officials said.
