Lots of luck
A 29-year-old man pointed a gun at a bouncer of a Church Avenue nightclub on Feb. 11 — say police who arrested him and a 26-year-old accomplice.
The bouncer told police he was working the door of the club between Flatlands and Bedford avenues at 4:46 am when the younger suspect began shouting threats at him.
“You and this nightclub are going to get, going to get it,” the suspect allegedly stammered.
The older suspect then approached the bouncer and took a swing at him, before pulling a pistol from his waistband, pointing it at the victim, and pulling the trigger, police allege.
Fortunately, the gun didn’t fire and the suspects fled, although cops were quick to catch up with them, finding the suspects, along with their pistol, in the back of yellow cab, police said.
Sticks and stones
A 51-year-old man was arrested for allegedly beating a man with an expandable baton inside the victim’s E. 14th Street apartment on Feb. 8.
The victim told police that he was inside his apartment between Avenues H and I at noon when the suspect burst in, uninvited, through the front door, and began making threats, saying the victim owed him money.
When the victim told the suspect to leave, the disgruntled man allegedly extended his stick and struck the other man on his head.
