Gold mine
A lowlife swiped thousands in jewelry and electronics from a 13th Avenue apartment on Jan. 28, according to cops.
The victim reported that he left his home between 69th and 70th streets at 9:30 am and returned at 1:30 pm to find his wedding band, two gold rings, diamond ring, gold chain, gold bangles, and laptop were all gone.
Neighbors said they heard nothing unusual, but police say they noticed footprints leading around the back of the building to the fire escape.
Slowhand
A thief snatched a woman’s cellphone while she was talking on it on 62nd Street on Jan. 31, police report.
The victim told cops that she was near Eighth Avenue talking into the device at 7:50 pm when the crook came up behind her, grabbed the gadget, and fled.
Out of time
A pair of punks busted open the door of an Eighth Avenue apartment and took two watches and a bracelet on Feb. 1, cops claim.
The victim said she left her pad between 67th and 68th streets at 10:30 am and returned at 1:55 pm, passing two men she didn’t recognize in the entryway of her building.
When she got upstairs, she found her door open and the frame in splinters — and her pricey timepieces and diamond wristband missing.
Dude got a Dell
A crook stole a Dell laptop from a Fourth Avenue apartment on Jan. 28, authorities allege.
The victim said he left his street-level home between 67th and 68th streets at 11 am and returned at 9 pm to see his glass door shattered and his computer gone.
Up in smoke
A crook smashed the window of a car parked on Third Avenue and stole 38 cartons of assorted cigarettes from inside, cops say.
The victim said he parked his vehicle — loaded with Marlboros, Newports, Camels, American Spirits, Virginia Slims, and other brands — between 98th and 99th streets at noon and went into a nearby grocery store.
When he came back 10 minutes later, his rear window was in shards and his precious nicotine stash was gone.
