A man was arrested for threatening a woman with a steel pole on W. 32nd Street on Dec. 28.
A police officer reported that he was near Surf Avenue at 2:40 pm when the suspect approached the victim and uttered his threat.
“B****, I am going to f*** you up,” the suspect allegedly snarled, before letting the metal rod drop from his coat sleeve.
During a police interview, the suspect admitted to harassing the victim, but said he only wanted to scare her, according to police.
Bungling burglars
Police arrested four men who they say attempted to burglarize an Ocean Parkway apartment on Dec. 30.
The victim’s neighbor told police that he was inside his home between Brighton and Manhattan courts at 4:50 pm when he heard a commotion stemming from the next door apartment.
The witness instinctively called 911, before going to investigate and finding that the victim’s front door had been kicked down. The good Samaritan then began heckling the suspects.
“You should leave,” he yelled, and the startled bandits heeded his advice and fled.
Cops took the neighbor along on a canvas of the neighborhood, and the man was able to point out the alleged bandits, cops said.
