Cops are looking for a livery car-jacker who hit an unsuspecting cabbie on E. 52nd Street in Mill Basin last week.
The victim told police that he had picked up the robbery suspect between Avenues L and M at 4:10 am on Dec. 12, but once the thief jumped inside the car, he told the cabbie he had a gun and demanded his wheels.
Police said the cabbie complied and exited his car — watching helplessly as the thief rolled off with his livelihood.
Yet investigators may be honing in on the cabbie-crook: detectives are circulating an image of the thief that was taken from a surveillance camera inside the cab.
Anyone with information regarding this man’s identity is urged to call investigators at (800) 577–8477. All calls will be kept confidential.
