This floating bar was a welcome windfall for Sandy’s victims.
Powerful gusts ripped a taproom attached to a Mill Basin yacht club and plunked it two miles away on Gerritsen Beach — with its booze still intact — much to the delight of beleaguered residents in need of some liquid cheer.
“We had a big party!” Gerritsen Beach local Michael Sarrell told the New York Post. “We had nothing else to do while we were waiting for everything else to dry, and this was a great opportunity to get our minds off everything,”
The watering hole turned out to be a hunk of the Gateway Marina on Flatbush Avenue.
