Kings Plaza has become Southern Brooklyn’s port in a Frankenstorm.
Huge sections of Marine Park and Mill Basin remain without power in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, and the shopping center at the corner of Avenue U and Flatbush Avenue is helping to ease the burdens of nearby residents by offering complimentary charging stations, in addition to free parking until Sunday.
Patrons can find the charging station —perfect for powering up laptop computers and cellphones — on the mall’s first level, by the customer service station.
The shopping center remains open, although offices at the mall have been evacuated due to flooding, sources say.
