Hack attack

Four men took a cellphone from a cabbie near the corner of Front and Gold streets on Oct. 23, authorities said.

The 57-year-old hack told cops he picked up four guys from the corner of Carlton and Lafayette avenues at 1:50 pm and they asked him to drive to Dumbo.

When the driver stopped the cab, the foul fare in the passenger seat grabbed the cabbie’s phone, while one of the guys in the back seat held him down from behind, cops said. All four suspects took off running, they added.

Grand larceny laptop

An education-hating lowlife stole 25 laptops from a Jay Street charter school on Oct. 22, according to police.

School administrators reported to cops that an employee responded to an alarm at the school, which is between Tillary and Sands streets, at 9:16 pm and discovered the electronics missing.

Electricians had access to the building, officials said. The laptops are valued at $5,700, the school reported.

Sweater rip off

Three guys swiped sweaters and sweat suits from a Fulton Street store on Oct. 19, authorities said.

Employees of the store, which is between Lawrence and Hoyt streets, told police the three criminals came in at 6:17 pm and started stealing clothing. They grabbed four sweaters, five sweatshirts, and four pairs of sweatpants before taking off, cops said.

The stored valued the merchandise at $1,180, according to a police report.

Where’s my two dollars?

Cops cuffed a pair of teens who they said robbed a kid of $2 at the corner of Willoughby and Jay streets on Oct. 21, according to a police report.

The victim’s 63-year-old grandmother reported to police that her grandson was walking home at 11:35 am, when two teenagers approached him, threw him to the ground, held him down, and removed $2 from his pocket. While they were holding him down, one of the suspects told the kid, “If you do not give me your money I will punch you in the face,” the police report says.

Cops arrested a 16-year-old later the same day, and a 17-year-old two days later, officials said.

Burglary on Cranberry

A burglar broke into a Cranberry Street home on Oct. 21, stealing a camera and a computer, cops said.

The 31-year-old resident of the apartment, which is between Hicks and Henry streets, told police he left his house at 11 am, and returned at 8:30 that night to find his front door unlocked. Once inside he noticed the electronics missing, cops said.

Platform prowler

A thief stole a woman’s cellphone while she stood on the platform of the DeKalb Avenue subway station on Oct. 21, police reported.

The 30-year-old victim told cops she was standing on the Brooklyn-bound Q train platform, in the station at Flatbush Avenue Extension, at 2:50 pm when a man using a dark cane bumped into her, reached into her purse, and took her phone.

She got on a train and saw the guy with her phone in his hand still standing on the platform, cops said.

Locker looted

A locker room-lurking criminal broke into a man’s locker while he worked out in a Remsen Street gym on Oct. 22, according to authorities.

The 28-year-old gym goer told police he went for a workout in the gym between Clinton and Court streets at 5:30 pm and when he got back to the locker room an hour and a half later he found his locker broken open.

The crook made off with $40 in cash, debit, and credit cards, cops said.

Cinephile burgled

Someone broke into a man’s car while he watched a movie in a Court Street theater on Oct. 23, cops said.

The 33-year-old cinephile told police he parked his Volkswagon Turbo on State Street between Court and Clinton streets at 10 pm before going to the theater to catch a flick. When he came back at 11:59, the back window was broken and his laptop was missing, cops said.

Home invaded

A pair of tough guys pushed their way into a Wyckoff Street apartment on Oct. 24 and bashed up some of the resident’s belongings, cops said.

An 18-year-old resident of the apartment, between Court and Smith streets, told police he heard a knock at the door at 8:40 pm just before the pair of brutes broke it down. The teen tried to stop them but the toughs broke the television and a chair, cops said.

Collections commandeered

A heartless burglar broke into an 85-year-old’s Clark Street apartment sometime between Oct. 14 and Oct. 21 — stealing jewelry, a coin collection, and a stamp collection, police reported.

The victim told police he last saw the items inside his home, between Henry Street and Cadman Plaza West, at 2 pm on Oct. 14. He came home on Oct. 21 at 2 pm to find that his front door had been broken, cops said. The crooks made off with three rings, some rare coins, three pens, and a stamp collection, according to a police report. The victim estimated that the items were worth $48,000.

Train chain

A quick crook snatched a woman’s chain from her neck while she rode a Brooklyn-bound N train on Oct. 25, according to authorities.

The 53-year-old victim told police she was sitting on the train at 11:30 am, and when it pulled into the DeKalb station, on the corner of DeKalb Avenue and Flatbush Avenue Extension, a fellow passenger who appeared to be looking at the map snatched her chain and ran off the train. The doors closed and the guy got away, cops said.
