No McLaughlin matter

A group of knife-toting lowlifes robbed a man in McLaughlin Park on Oct. 6, making off with his cellphone and wallet, cops said.

The 19-year-old victim said he was waiting for his sister at 1:05 am in the park near the corner of Jay and Tillary streets when four galoots approached him, two carrying kitchen knives.

One of the goons grabbed the teenager by his shirt and asked if he was a “mook” before taking his stuff, according to a police report. Then the whole treacherous team took off, the report says.

Ending fences

A thief stole a bunch of stainless-steal fence wire from Brooklyn Bridge Park on Oct. 9, the authorities reported.

A 27-year-old employee reported that the fence thief struck Pier 6 sometime between 1 and 6 am. The bandit absconded with 120 feet of the wire from metal barriers, according to a police report.

A security guard at a nearby construction site did not see anything suspicious, law enforcement officials said. The wire is worth $3,500, cops said.

Rude awakening

An intruder crept into a Saint Marks Place apartment on Oct. 9 and woke a sleeping woman, police said.

The 36-year-old resident of the apartment between Third and Fourth avenues told cops she was sleeping at 3:50 pm with her front door unlocked when she heard footstep and woke up.

She saw the trespasser staring at her from across the room and started screaming, cops said. The creep fled on foot, heading towards Fourth Avenue on Saint Marks Place, per police.

Wigging out

Police arrested a woman who they say took someone’s wallet inside a Fulton Street wig store on Oct. 6.

The 34-year-old victim said she was shopping in the beauty supply store between Hanover Place and Flatbush Avenue at noon. A security camera captured the 52-year-old suspect removing the wallet from the woman’s bag, which was hanging from her shoulder, according to a police report. The purple wallet contained debit and credit cards, cops said.

Mugger Avenue

A gaggle of goons roughed up a teen and snatched his phone on Myrtle Avenue on Oct. 6, according to the NYPD.

The 15-year-old victim said he was walking home from school at 2:45 pm, and was on Myrtle between Flatbush Avenue Extension and Fleet Place when the treacherous trio approached him.

One of the galoots punched him in the face while another reached into his pocket and took his phone, cops said.

Stop and shoplifters

Cops cuffed three women for allegedly trying to steal a bunch of clothing from a Fulton Mall department store on Oct. 6, according to a report.

Employees at the store between Gallatin Place and Hoyt Street said they saw the suspects come in at 8:15 pm. The women, who are 24, 25, and 26, started shoving merchandise into their bags and tried to leave separately, but employees stopped them and officers arrested them, officers recounted. Officers found $3,513.89 worth of merchandise on the accused, police said.

Stopped lifters

The authorities arrested two young men who they say stole a bunch of clothing from a Smith Street department store on Oct. 11.

A 24-year-old employee at the store said the two suspects came into the store between Bergen and Wyckoff streets at 2:20 pm, took clothes, threatened the worker, and ran out, according to a police report.

They jumped in a black Nissan Pathfinder with vanity plates reading “SEXYB63,” the report says. Cops cuffed the 17- and 20-year-old suspects shortly thereafter, it says.

While the worker is away

A burglar broke into a Smith Street apartment on Oct. 6 while the resident was at work, cops said.

The 39-year-old victim said he left his pad between Warren and Wyckoff streets at 8 am and did not return until 5 pm. The next day he noticed a cellphone, an electronic table, and a laptop gone, according to officers.

Cops noticed that his front door showed signs of being broken in to, law enforcement officials said.

Train in chain

A group of youngsters snatched the chain off of a woman’s neck onboard a B train near the DeKalb Avenue station on Oct. 9, police said.

The 55-year-old victim said she boarded a Brooklyn-bound B on the distant island of Manhattan, and noticed the three teenage suspects shortly thereafter.

As the train pulled into stop at 5:55 pm, one of the kids grabbed the lady’s gold chain and pendant from her neck, and all three vamoosed, police said.

Dumbo drop

A couple of tough guys robbed a man in Dumbo on Oct. 11, stealing a backpack full of clothes and other goods, cops said.

The 24-year-old victim said he was walking near the corner of Main and Plymouth streets at 9 pm when one of the no-goodniks asked him for a cigarette. The victim refused and kept walking, but the predatory pair followed, according to the NYPD.

They then snatched his bag off of his back and took off running, law enforcement officials said. The victim told cops the bag contained a camera, sunglasses, clothes, an electronic music player, and a tripod.
