Stand up and cheer for the exceptional employees at the Guild for Exceptional Children. The organization held its annual awards luncheon in Bay Ridge on Sept. 12, and treated the outstanding workers to a wonderful luncheon. These extraordinary teachers, specialists, and trainers, who have gone way above and beyond in their care and commitment to children and adults living with developmental disabilities, received a well-deserved “thank you” from chief executive officer Paul Cassone and supervisors for all they do all year long.
This year’s recipients dedicated to “Building a Brighter Future” were: David Anger, Shakena Carlton, Christopher Chin, Trinh Duong, Kristine Giltenan, Michelle Kneeter, Herlina Limiawati, Evelyn Rivera, Yvette Shekane, Cesar Velasquez, and Mildred Warren.
The employees were selected by their department supervisors for reflecting the core values of service, teamwork, integrity, vision, and excellence.
Standing O says the guild, which has provided support and services to children and adults with developmental disabilities for more than 50 years, is more than exceptional — it’s worthy of an exceptional shout-out.
