Three-on-one beat-down
A group of goons beat up a guy for no reason at the corner of 20th Avenue and 84th Street in Bensonhurst on Oct. 8, cops said.
The man was walking to his mother’s home at 5 am when three toughs in their 30s descended on him, punching and kicking him in the stomach, police said.
One assailant cut the man’s shoulder with an unidentified object, a police report states.
Phone thief offers fake cash
A bandit passed counterfeit money to a guy he arranged to buy a phone off of on Craigslist when they met up on Oct. 9, according to the authorities.
The man arranged to meet with a buyer at the corner of Kings Highway and W. Third Street in Gravesend at 9 pm, but when the trickster showed up, he handed the victim an envelope filled with fake cash, snatched the phone, and fled in a Hyundai, police said.
Ride-by robbery
A thief on a bike stole a guy’s phone at the corner of 86th Street and 23rd Avenue in Bensonhurst on Oct. 7, the NYPD said.
The victim was walking home when the thieving cyclist, who was wearing a gray hoodie, pedaled past and grabbed the phone out of the victim’s hand, police said.
Landlord’s hoard stolen
A pair of punks stole $3,740 from a 19th Avenue landlord who had just collected his tenants’ rent on Oct. 1, according to officials.
The property owner was making his rounds and had parked his car at the corner of 19th Avenue and 64th Street in Bensonhurst at 8:10 pm when the pair approached him and told him to cough up his cash, police said.
One of the fiends slashed the victim’s arm with a box-cutter, then the pair went through the man’s pockets, removing cash, credit cards, a Social Security card, and jewelry, law enforcement sources said.
The victim said he had all the cash on him because he was collecting rent.
Run the jewels
Someone stole $14,500 in jewelry from a 73rd Street apartment on Oct. 10, police reported.
The resident returned to the flat between 17th and 18th avenues in Bensonhurst at 1:10 pm, but the apartment lock was broken, so he had to get the landlord to break a window, according to a law enforcement account.
Once the resident entered the apartment, he found his dresser drawers open and his jewelry missing, cops said.
