No-ped
A thief swiped a man’s motorized scooter from Nevins Street sometime between Sept. 11 and Sept. 16, cops said.
The 43-year-old owner of the Vespa said he parked his ride between State Street and Atlantic Avenue at 2 pm on Sept. 11, and when he came back to get it five days later at 6:20 pm, it was gone. A video camera may have caught the crime on tape, officers said.
The telltale condom
Three lowlifes stole a wallet out of a sleeping straphanger’s pocket aboard a 2 train on Sept. 17, the authorities reported.
The 24-year-old victim said he fell asleep on a Manhattan-bound train at 4:15 am, and woke up at the Clark Street station with a hole cut in his pocket and his wallet gone.
He saw three fiends exit the train as he woke up, and a fellow passenger told him the crew had done the deed, an account states. Inside the Clark Street station, the victim found his gym membership card and a condom, both of which had been in his wallet, law enforcement officials said.
Striking a bad cord
A bandit burglarized a Concord Street apartment on Sept. 17, making off with electronics, according to police.
The 34-year-old victim said he left his abode between Bridge and Duffield streets at 10:15 am, and when he returned at 8 pm that night, the stuff was gone.
The thief made off with two laptops and an electronic tablet, cops said. There was no sign of forced entry, they added.
Bad trip
A burglar broke into a Dean Street apartment sometime between 11 am on Sept. 18 and 2 pm on Sept. 20 and absconded with two computers, cops said.
The son of the apartment’s owners said his parents were on vacation and he was checking on the place, between Boerum Place and Court Street, when he noticed that the front window was broken. He searched the house and found the two laptops gone, per the NYPD.
Screwed
A couple of tough guys assaulted a teen, one with a screwdriver, inside McLaughlin Park on Sept. 18, officers said.
The 17-year-old victim said he was walking through the park on Cathedral Place between Jay Street and Flatbush Avenue Extension at 3:15 pm when a 19-year-old bully he knew came over and asked if he wanted to fight. Another galoot then came up from behind and punched the victim in the face, according to a police report.
When the victim tried to run, the first lout tackled him to the ground, grabbed a screwdriver, and stabbed him in the head, back, and hand, the report says. The victim needed staples and stitches, and the attackers got away, cops said.
Make it, take it
A no-goodnik stole a woman’s wallet out of her bag while she played basketball in Brooklyn Bridge Park on Sept. 18, law enforcement officials said.
The 21-year-old victim said she left her bag on a bench near the courts, which are off of Furman Street between Old Fulton and Joralemon streets, at 4 pm.
When she wrapped up her long athletic session at 10 pm, she found her wallet had been removed from the bag, police recounted.
Snatch and dash
A quick-moving culprit snatched a woman’s cellphone from her hand while she was on an A train at the Hoyt-Schermerhorn station on Sept. 18, police reported.
The 31-year-old victim said she caught the Manhattan-bound A at Broadway Junction at 4:15 pm and that the thief got on at the same time. The woman rode the train to the Downtown station, and as the doors were closing the crook grabbed the phone and scrammed, cops said.
