Police are offering a $12,000 reward for information leading to an arrest in a shooting in Midwood that killed a Canarsie man earlier this year.
On Jan. 18, Gerard Grant was shot in the head at 4:17 am on Avenue I and E. 16th Street. Paramedics pronounced Grant dead on arrival. Another man shot at the same time was left in critical condition and survived.
The Police Foundation is offering a $10,000 reward, and CrimeStoppers is offering an additional $2,000.
Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call Crime stoppers at (800) 577–8477. The public can also submit tips by logging onto the Crime Stoppers website at www.nypdcrimestoppers.com or by texting tips to 274637 (CRIMES) then entering TIP577.
