A music fanatic is compiling a map of the numerous songs inspired by Brooklyn.

The collector-minded cartographer said the map is his own ode to the majesty of the borough and, okay, its neighbors too.

“This is my little love letter to the city,” said Constantine Valhouli, a public relations guy and artist.

Valhouli got the idea for the map while procrastinating on other projects, he said. The first inkling of the project came about when he mapped a bunch of Ramones songs to illustrate an idea to some co-workers.

When the collection went online, hundreds of fellow music-and-geography nerds dashed off e-mails to him pointing out spots he’d missed.

Valhouli acknowledges that the catalog currently represented tends toward the white and the indie.

“I know I missed a lot of jazz and a lot of hip hop,” he said.

He plans to add at least 100 more songs by the end of the week.
