MetroTech mugging

Authorities are after a mugger who hit a woman in the head while she sat in her car in front of MetroTech on June 30, and then stole cash and a money order, police said.

The 28-year-old woman told cops she was parked on Jay Street near the Myrtle Promenade at 1 pm, when the thug came over, hit her in the head, and took $100 in cash and a $700 money order. She said the guy then jumped in a silver Toyota and took of Jay Street towards Tillary Street.

Jewelry jacked

Someone stole a ton of jewelry from a Grace Court apartment sometime between June 26 and June 29, according to a police report.

The 69-year-old victim told police she left her home, between Hicks and Furman streets, at 4 pm on June 26, and that when she returned at 5:30 pm three days later the jewelry was gone.

She also told cops that painters were in the apartment while she was gone, and that the stolen items were in a dresser but not locked up. The jewelry taken included a pair of diamond earrings, two pairs of gold earrings, and three gold rings, the police report says.

Above the burglary

A sneak creeped into a Nevins Street building on June 30 and stole a bunch of belongings from workers who were repairing the roof, cops said.

A 44-year-old roofer told police he was up on the top of the building between Flatbush Avenue and Livingston Street from 9 am until 11:15 am, and that when he came down he noticed the things were missing.

The stolen stuff included two cell phones, $150 in cash, a bunch of clothes, credit and debit cards, cops said.

Wayward wallet

Someone snatched a woman’s wallet from her purse as she walked along Livingston Street on July 1, authorities said.

A 34-year-old woman told police she was walking along the crowded Livingston Street sidewalk at noon, when she felt someone bump her hard as she approached the corner of Nevins Street. She checked her purse a moment later and noticed that her wallet was gone, cops said.

The wallet contained $420 in cash, plus birth certificates and other personal documents, according to a police report.

Quick return

A car burglar took a bag full of clothes and $1,000 in cash from a woman’s car parked on Chapel Street on July 4.

The 32-year-old shopper told police she left her car near the corner of Flatbush Avenue Extension at 11:45 am, with a bag of clothes from H&M and a bunch of cash. When she returned at 1:40 pm, the bag and the money were gone, cops said.

Swindled at the gym

A gym-prowling thief cleared out a man’s gym locker on July 5, while he worked out in the health center on Livingston Street, police said.

The 21-year-old fitness buff told police he started working out at the fitness center between Elm Place and Bond Street at noon, and when he returned to the locker room at 2:45 pm his belongings had been burgled.

He said his locker contained clothes, shoes, debit and credit cards, and an asthma pump.

Pick in plain sight

Someone picked a wallet from a woman’s purse while she shopped in a Fulton Mall department store on July 6, cops said.

The 43-year-old shopper told police she was in the store between Gallatin Place and Hoyt Street at 3:20 pm, and that someone bumped into her and took the wallet from her backpack. The wallet contained $120 in cash and a credit card, officers said.

Motorbike lifted

A thief stole a motorcycle from Main Street in Dumbo on July 2, police said.

The 26-year-old biker reported to authorities that a friend parked the bike between Plymouth and Water streets at 2:30 am, and that when he went to retrieve it at 4:30 am, the bike was gone. The chopper was a black 2011 Yamaha, cops said.

Shady shades

A crook swiped a woman’s sunglasses at the Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center subway station on June 29.

The victim told police she had arrived at the station, near the corner of Pacific Street and Fourth Avenue, on a Brooklyn-bound D train at 2 pm. She noticed the shades were missing as she climbed the stairs leaving the station, police said.

They were a pair of white Oakleys with clear lenses, cops said.

Lifted shopper

A thief pinched a woman’s purse while her daughter tried on some clothes in the changing room of a Livingston Street store on July 4.

The 43-year-old shopper told police she and her daughter were in the store between Hoyt and Bond streets at 5:30 pm. The daughter placed the purse in a shopping cart while she went into the changing room, and when she returned the bag was gone, police said.

The red leather purse contained $80 in cash, a cellphone, and a debit card, according to a police report.
