Can to the mug
A real rageaholic smacked a Bay Parkway bodega clerk in the face with a can of beer on June 27 — and busted a window for good measure.
The woman, believed to be in her mid-30s, bought a 25-ounce can of suds from a deli near 65th street in Mapleton at 3 am.
But when she started rifling through candy bars, the clerk confronted her, and she clocked him with the can, causing a bruised cheek and a swollen lip, police said. Then she picked up a milk crate and smashed it through one of the store’s windows before fleeing southbound on Bay Parkway, reports state.
Playground purloiner
A 12-year-old pick-pocket allegedly slipped an iPod out of another kid’s shorts on a 19th avenue playground on June 25.
Police said the victim was having a good time at the playground between 76th and 77th streets in Bensonhurst at 2:50 pm until the pint-sized suspect slipped a hand into the victim’s pocket, cribbed the MP3 player, and fled westbound on 73rd Street on his bicycle. Cops picked up the suspect, and the victim fingered him as the culprit, reports state.
Inside job
A clever crook broke into an Avenue U nail salon and busted down a shared wall in order to raid an eatery’s register on June 29.
The perp broke a gate on the rear window of the salon, which sits between W. Sixth and W. Seventh streets in Gravesend, at 10:10 pm and rummaged through the salon’s drawers, but didn’t remove anything, police said.
Then the brute smashed through a shared wall at 11 pm and entered the neighboring Mexican restaurant, where he snatched $100 from the register and fled, reports state.
What a tool
A contractor-hating criminal is breaking into construction sites and stealing equipment in Bensonhurst.
• The first incident went down at a 64th Street site on June 24 — when a burglar took a cordless drill and a compound saw.
The perp climbed a fence to the site between 17th and 18th avenues at 5 pm and helped himself to the gear, reports state.
• Someone took tools from a construction site less than a quarter of a mile away on 18th Avenue three days.
This time, the perp cut a chain on a wooden construction fence near 66th Street at 2:30 pm and snapped the lock off a tool box before making off with a chopping gun, a snap cutter, and a ratchet, police said. The gear was valued at $2,450, reports state.
Teeter-totter tough guy
Cops cuffed a 15-year-old who they say robbed a fellow teen of $11 at a playground on the corner of Bay Parkway on June 26.
The victim alleged that his aggressor confronted him at at the play space near W. 12th Street at 2 pm saying, “Yo, turn around. Run your s---. I know you’ve got more. Give me all of it or I’ll hurt you,” reports state.
The 13-year-old victim handed him the cash, and the suspect fled before officers picked him up nearby, police said.
