Questioning whether Brooklyn has any other highly specific bar trivia nights? We have the answer! In addition to an abundance of general knowledge contests, the borough’s watering holes do indeed play host to several trivia tournaments aimed at those with singular areas of expertise.

Go banana!

Perhaps the most specific trivia night in the whole borough, Woo Hoo! Classic Simpsons Trivia on the first Thursday of the month at Williamsburg’s Berry Park tests contestants’ exclusively on episodes of “The Simpsons” from the ’90s. Battle it out with teams such as “Allied Biscuit,” “Team Discovery Channel,” and “The Neglecterinos.” If you don’t get those references, this isn’t the trivia night for you.

7:30 pm at Berry Park [4 Berry St. between N. 14th and N. 13th streets in Williamsburg, (718) 782–2829, www.berryparkbk.com]. $10 per team, $5 solo players.

Trivia is coming

You can watch “Game of Thrones” episodes live at many fine Brooklyn booze slingers, but at Halyards in Gowanus, the Sunday-night screening is preceded by an hour of trivia questions about the cult sex- and swordplay-centric series. The bar also serves up themed cocktails during the night, but you better hurry up if you want to try one—there are only two more episodes left this season.

8 pm at Halyards [406 Third Ave. near Sixth Street in Gowanus, (718) 532–8787, www.facebook.com/halyardsbar]. Free.

Culture vultures

For pop culture enthusiasts with short attention spans, New York City trivia empire Trivia AD has different themes every week — “Full House,” “Disney Movies,” and “Fifty Shades of Grey” are all recent examples. The quizzical company hosts numerous contests at various venues all over New York City, but you can usually catch it at the Tea Lounge in Park Slope every Tuesday — the June 10 topic is “30 Rock.”

8 pm at the Tea Lounge [837 Union St. between Sixth and Seventh avenues in Park Slope, (718) 789–2762, www.tealoungeny.com].

Tricky tunes

Appropriately for a bar where you can buy both a beer and a vintage guitar, Ditmas Park’s Bar Chord hosts a music trivia night on first Tuesday of the month. You don’t have to be a hardcore music nerd to be in with a fighting chance to score prizes such as bar tabs, jukebox credits, and vinyl records, though it doesn’t hurt—clever music-related team names will score you extra points.

Bar Chord [1008 Courtelyou Rd. between Stratford Road and Coney Island Avenue in Ditmas Park, (347) 240–6033, www.barchordnyc.com]. 7 pm. Free.
