What are you doing reading the paper? There’s a fair in town!
The Kings County Fair celebrates its fifth year at Aviator Sprots at Floyd Bennett Field. bringing food, games, and rides from May 15–26.
If you’re into flips and spins, there are exhilarating rides for all ages, including roller coasters, a Ferris wheel, and the only “Stinger” in these United States.
New for this year are two funhouses — the Crazy Outback and the Glass House Maze — and a brand new roller coaster called the “Wild Mouse.”
Eudora farms petting zoo will give you the chance to meet Kevin Bacon — the potbelly pig, that is, not the star of “Footloose” — as well as rare animals including the adorable Fennec fox and a wallaby. You can even take a ride on a camel.
Food offerings will include the entire carnival food pyramid, including fried dough, deep-fried candy bars, cotton candy, popcorn, hot dogs, and barbecue.
So fly down to Floyd Bennett Field and dig in!
