An off-the-showroom floor NYPD vehicle was sent right back to the shop after it collided with a white Toyota SUV at the corner of Ocean Parkway and Avenue Z.
An FDNY spokesman said two people trapped in the white SUV were rushed to Lutheran Medical Center in Sunset Park with neck injuries following the June 29 crash.
Responding firefighters used a hydraulic tool known as the “Jaws of Life” to rip off the SUV’s crumpled door off and free the injured motorists.
The cop driving the new NYPD SUV, which still had its sales sticker attached, was not seriously injured, officials said.
It was unclear who caused the accident by Thursday evening.
