Cops cuffed a man who they say stole a handful of gadgets from a woman’s apartment on Sackett Street on March 7, cops said.
The 26-year-old victim left her apartment between Hoyt and Bond streets to go to the store around 2:55 pm, and when she returned 15 minutes later, she noticed that her Samsung phone, MacBook, and iPod were stolen, according to a police report.
Police arrested a 52-year-old man at 5:45 pm at the 76th Precinct station house and charged with burglary and criminal possession of stolen property.
Clean streets
A perp was arrested for stealing laundry detergent and shampoo from a convenience store on Court Street on March 1, police said.
The 40-year-old man took four bottles of Tide, two bottles of shampoo, and 10 cotten boxes from the store between First and Second places and tried to leave around 4:57 pm. A store worker called the police, who cuffed the criminal.
Sneaky on Sackett
A thief swiped hundreds in cash from a woman’s car parked on Sackett Street sometime between March 8 and March 9, cops said.
The 74-year-old woman said she parked her black Cadillac between Hoyt and Bond streets around 6 pm on March 8, and when returned at 1:30 pm on March 9, she saw that the door to her car was open.
She then noticed that $350 was missing from the vehicle, along with her credit card, debit card, and health insurance card.
Seven years of bad luck
A thug broke the mirror of a woman’s car parked on Coffey Street sometime between March 8 and March 9, cops said.
The 65-year-old car owner parked her Nissan at 9 am between Ferris and Conover streets, and when she returned at 8 am the next day, her window was damaged, according to police.
The perp did not take anything from the car.
Sleeping beauty
A criminal swiped a sleeping man’s iPhone as he rode the subway on March 10, police said.
The 24-year-old man was riding a Manhattan-bound F train around 5 am when he took a quick nap. When he woke up, he realized he no longer had his Samsung phone or his MetroCard, according to cops.
The victim checked the floor and the train before exiting at the Smith and Ninth streets subway stop.
