Spicy surprise
A hot-tempered thug pepper sprayed — and then robbed — a woman after she’d let him into her 72nd Street home on Oct. 1, police report.
The victim told cops that the goon rang her doorbell of her home between Seventh and Stewart avenues at 9:30 am and asked to see her husband. She opened the door and let the crook step inside — and got a spray of Mace in her face.
The fiend then hit her repeatedly with a blunt object and tore off her necklace and swiped her iPhone.
Street crime
Two crooks jacked the rims and tires from a brand-new Honda carry-all on 83rd Street on Oct. 4, cops say.
An anonymous 911 dialer reported that at 4:30 am he’d spotted the pair of perps jumping into a white car between Narrows Avenue and Colonial Boulevard and speeding off — and then noticed that the wheels on the nearby vehicle had been stripped to the hubs.
iPunk
A jerk stole a woman’s iPad right out of her hands in the Fort Hamilton Parkway subway stop on Oct. 10, according to cops.
The victim said she was riding the Coney Island-bound N train home at 12:15 am and was fiddling with the gadget when the train pulled into the station — and when the punk suddenly jumped up, snatched the device away, and took off.
A real steal
A thief got away with a foul when he swiped a Sunset Park man’s bag while the owner was playing basketball in Leif Ericson Park on Oct. 7, police say.
The victim told cops he left his bag on the ground in the courts at the corner of Eighth Avenue and 66th Street at 10:30 am and went to go shoot hoops. When he came back half an hour later, he saw it’d been a bad call: his knapsack — with his wallet and credit cards inside — was gone.
Smashing success
A villain hit the jackpot — $6,550 in loot — after breaking into a woman’s sedan on Vista Place sometime overnight on Oct. 4, cops report.
The victim said she left her vehicle parked between 68th and 69th streets at 5 pm, and came back out at 9 am the next day to see that somebody had busted out the driver’s-side front window — and made off with a $4,500 of her jewelry, $1,500 worth of clothes, her $250 carry-on bag, and her $300 Kindle from inside the vehicle.
