The victim told police his attackers fled with his camera and messenger bags on Bergen Street towards Nevins Street, and that he chased them to the intersection where he was again beaten with the cane. The victim managed to recover his camera bag, but not his messenger bag, which contained an iPod, clothes, debit, and credit cards, according to the report. The attack left the victim covered in bruises on his entire body, the report said.
