A Marine Park native has been pegged as possessing the longest legs in the city — and she may even be the leggiest lady in the world.
That’s according to our sister publication the New York Post, which turned up Brooklyn-born model Brooke Banker in its search for the city’s most protracted pins.
Banker grew up in Marine Park, attending PS 207 before her family moved upstate temporarily. The leggy lass now lives in Manhattan, but her family is back in Brooklyn — and she’s no stranger to the old neighborhood either.
“I go home about once a week,” Banker said.
The Post launched its search after a Russian beauty pageant named Anastasia Strashevskaya “Miss Longest Legs” earlier this month based on her 42-inch stilts, prompting British student and model Alexandra Robertson to pipe up about her own pipes — which measure a staggering 47 inches heel to hip — to claim the title of longest legs in the world.
Out an excess of civic pride, the Post set out to find a leggier lady locally.
Banker boasts 47-inches worth of grandiose gams as well, but she out-paces Robertson in terms of proportions.
The British gal is 6-foot-1, while Banker is a comparatively petite 5-foot-11. So she’s technically 66 percent leg, but Robertson is just 64 percent.
Banker’s looks and legs have helped her stride into a successful modeling career — which has only gotten busier with the publicity from the Post — but she does have a fall-back option.
Already accustomed to high altitudes, Banker trained in aviation science after college and says she eventually plans to take the exam to become an air-traffic controller.
In the meantime, she’s happy modeling in New York and frequently visiting her folks in Marine Park — when you might catch a glimpse of her towering over the counter at her favorite local pizzeria, Knapp Street Pizza.
