BROOKLYN HEIGHTS: Trio slices off tip of man’s finger while robbing him

Slice and dip

Three men sliced off the tip of a man’s finger as they robbed him on Third Avenue on Jan. 26, police said.

The victim was near Atlantic Avenue at 3:30 am when the perps approached and brandished a box-cutter, according to cops. One cutter-wielding criminal with a buzz cut reached into a man’s pocket to take out $300 cash, and cut off the top of the poor guy’s left ring finger. The band of perps then fled west down Atlantic Avenue.

Mini-maimed

Three desperados beat up a man and stole his iPad as he rode the subway near the Hoyt–Schermerhorn subway station on Jan. 22, cops said.

The 23-year-old victim was riding on an A train around 11:40 am, and when the car doors opened at the Hoyt–Schermerhorn station, a perp standing outside snatched his iPad mini from his hands. The victim started to exit the train, but two other criminals jumped on him and started wailing on his face and arms.

The man suffered a cut to his left arm, resulting in three stitches, but does not want to cooperate with cops, according to a police report.

Cold crook

Cops cuffed a man who they say stole hats and scarves from a department store on Fulton Street on Jan. 23, police said.

The 23-year-old man took 33 hats, 12 scarves, and one pair of gloves from the store near Livingston Street at 2 pm, according to a police report.

Down on Dean

A perp robbed a woman as she walked down Dean Street on Jan. 26, cops said.

The 34-year-old victim she was near between Bond and Nevins streets at 8:30 pm when a man came up to her, put his hands over her face, and said, “Give me all you f------ got, don’t make a sound!”

The perp lifted the woman’s wallet, two credit cards, debit card, license, and iPhone 5. He then hit the woman on the left side of the ear and fled.

Checkmate

A criminal stole and deposited thousands of dollars in student checks from the a college on Willoughby Street sometime between Jan. 20 and Jan. 21, cops said.

The perp stole and cashed 28 checks totaling $2,800 from an office in the college near Lawrence Street, according to police. The checks were kept in an area open to the public and taken sometime from 2:45 pm on the Jan. 20 to 1 pm the next day.

Cell farewell

A perp snatched a man’s cellphone on Henry Street on Jan. 23, police said.

The 33-year-old victim was near Joralemon Street looking at his phone at 5:20 pm when a perp grabbed it from his hands and scurried off.

The man later found his phone on the street, cops said.

Bad timing

A cuffed criminal hit a court officer in the face as she was escorting him from a courtroom on Schermerhorn Street on Jan. 23, police said.

The 39-year-old perp hit the Kings County Courthouse officer in her right cheekbone with his elbow at the courthouse between Boerum Place and Smith Street at 12:30 pm, according to a police report.

Boutique sneak

A perp stole a horde of clothes from a boutique on Jay Street between Jan. 19 and Jan. 21, police said.

A 38-year-old man said he closed the store between John and Plymouth streets at midnight on Jan. 19, and when he returned at 1 pm on Jan. 21, four sweaters, six dresses, two pairs of pants, one scarf, eight rings, one earring, and two necklaces were missing from the boutique.

The perp got into the store through an air conditioning unit on the wall, police said.

Dirt at the cleaner’s

A band of criminals stole a laptop and security camera system computer from a dry cleaning shop on Front Street sometime between Jan. 18 and Jan. 21, cops said.

The perps stole the Dell laptop and computer from the shop between Washington and Adams streets sometime between 6 pm on Jan. 18 and 1 am two days later, and without the security camera computer, cops could not check the security cameras.
