A group of preschoolers were treated to lunch and met Santa Claus when they took a trip to a nearby high school before Christmas break.
The 36 students from PS 253’s pre-K class traveled to William E. Grady Career and Technical High School on Dec. 20 for a lunchtime visit with a teenaged Santa Claus.
The tots sat on Santa’s lap, ate lunch with him, sang Christmas songs, and each got a little gift.
William E. Grady provided the lunch and gifts from a school fund. Every year the high school donates gifts to low-income families, and this year chose PS 253 because many of the families with students in the school are financially struggling.
