The holidays are looking bright in Brighton Beach!

It’s that time of year again — time for the Brighton Neighborhood Association’s annual Christmas party.

The civic group rang in the season at the National Restaurant with its 10-plus-year-old yearly Yuletide bash, complete with caroling choirs, presents, a DJ, and fabulous prizes — and a 300-person-strong crowd.

“It’s our gift for the community every year,” said Neighborhood Association founder Pat Singer.

Singer said the event showcased the neighborhood’s diversity, with both Russian- and Spanish-language children’s choruses, reflecting the neighborhood’s Eastern European and Latino heritage.

“It’s great we pulled from corners, and got people together through the international language of music,” said Singer.

Singer and her staff put on the event with funding from State Sen. Diane Savino (D–Coney Island) and the Brighton Beach Business Improvement District, and several local businesses donated the items for the gift bags handed out at the door and the prizes awarded to the winners of the free raffle.

“I have a lot of elves,” said Singer. “Nobody went home empty-handed.”
