Golden man goes to…
Bravissima to St. Saviour High School sophomore Taylor Taglianetti. The talented teen has been selected to attend Reel Works Teen Filmmaking School in the Slope. The program is limited to only a few candidates and acceptance is by invitation only.
Following in the footsteps of Tinseltown directors Michael Moore, Oliver Stone, and Steven Spielberg, Standing O pal Taylor plans to make a short film about the human touch, and how computers and artificial intelligence are making their way into the arts.
Computers can create original music, paintings, and poetry these days, but Taylor is concerned that young people will be quick to accept the tekkie approach above the human element that is essential to artistry in the creative process.
Standing O wants to know if Will Hal from “2001: A Space Odyssey” be starring?
