CANARSIE: NYPD: Thugs beat man on E. 84th Street

Double beat down

Two men were arrested for allegedly beating a man on E. 84th Street on Nov. 24, sending the victim to the hospital with gashes on his face.

The victim told police that he was between Flatlands Avenue and Avenue J at 9:15 pm when the suspects laid into him, punching and kicking him in the face and body.

Bad roommate

Cops cuffed a man who they say broke his roommate’s eyeglasses inside the their Glenwood Road apartment on Nov. 23.

The victim told police that he arguing with his roommate inside their pad between 86th and 87th streets at 4:15 pm when he left to grab some air. Upon returning, however, he was horrified to find his eyeglasses laying shattered at his roommate’s feet, who happened to be holding a hammer and the victim’s DVD collection.

“You’re not getting these movies back,” the suspect allegedly snarled.

Sweet and stolen

A boy was arrested for allegedly shoplifting pastries, chips, and ice cream from a Flatlands Avenue store on Nov. 19.

An employee told police that he was working at the store between E. 81st and E. 82nd streets at 10:44 pm when he spotted the suspect grab one bag of Wise honey-barbecue chips, one Little Debbie honey bun, and one pint of Haagen Dazs butter pecan ice cream, before attempting to leave without paying.

The man was able to foil the juvenile suspect’s thievery, and recovered those items without too much trouble, cops said.
