Sticky situation
Police cuffed a man who they allege attempted to shoplift a pack of gum from a 20th Avenue store, then attacked the clerk on Nov. 12.
The store worker said that the defendant came into the business between 64th and 65th streets at 12:38 pm and slipped the pack of gum off a shelf and into his backpack.
The cashier got in his way and demanded the accused surrender the gum — which he said prompted the man in custody to push him until they both were outside the store.
Drive-by
Cops arrested a man who they say stole a vehicle full of swag on 16th Avenue on Nov. 17.
The victim said he witnessed the accused speeding away with his car — with a radio, food stamps, and $1,320 cash inside — between Bath and Cropsey avenues at 9:25 pm.
Gut feeling
Authorities picked up a femme fatale who they say kicked a woman in the stomach on 20th Avenue on Nov. 15.
The victim said the accused landed the blow to her solar plexus between 70th and 71st streets at 9:30 pm.
