Double jeopardy

A crook robbed a man at gunpoint inside the victim’s car on Emmons Avenue on Sept. 22, but was foiled when the victim chased him down.

The victim told police that he was between E. 21st and Dooley streets at 2:27 pm when he got into his car and the crook jumped into the passenger seat right behind him. The crook took out pistol, chambered a round, and stripped the victim of more than $20,000 worth of jewelry he was wearing.

After the crook fled, however, the victim gave chase and, after a struggle, was able to knock the pistol, along with some jewelry, out of the thief’s hands, cops said.

Call failed

A thief grabbed a woman’s cellphone from her hands outside a Gravesend Neck Road subway station on Sept. 22.

The victim told police that she was making a call to her parents outside the train station near E. 16th Street at 12:30 pm when the crook snuck up from behind, gave her a shove, and snatched her cellphone. The fiend fled heading north on E. 16th Street, but a police search came up empty.

Time bandit

Cops are searching for a man who they say beat and robbed a woman on Coney Island Avenue on Sept. 19, taking her watch.

The victim told police that she was between Kings Highway and Avenue R at 9:55 pm when the suspect punched her in the face and grabbed her $250 DKNY watch, before fleeing.

Undercover thief

A thief posing as an undercover cop stole a 14-year-old boy’s gold cross necklace on Homecrest Avenue on Sept. 16.

The victim told police that he was inside the park near Shore Parkway at 6:50 pm when the suspect approached him and told him he was an undercover detective for the NYPD. The man then led the suspect to an isolated area near Shore Parkway and took his golden chain and cross, before blowing his cover and running for the hills, cops said.

Ganged up

Four thugs robbed a cyclist on E. 23rd Street on Sept. 14 — taking his bike and iPhone.

The victim told police that he was near Avenue R at midnight, when some goon waltzed up and uttered a demand.

“Get off your bike,” the thug snarled.

The victim refused, but quickly found himself surrounded by four goons, who beat him for the bike and his cellphone.

Bragg Street burglar

A bandit ransacked a woman’s Bragg Street apartment on Sept. 20, taking a laptop and necklace.

The victim told police that she had left her home near Emmons Avenue at 5:30 pm, and returned about five hours later to find a window leading into her apartment had been left ajar and that her property had been looted.

Register ransacked

A crook took $700 out of the register of a Kings Highway store on Sept. 20.

Surveillance footage shows the bandit busting in through the roof of the business between E. Eighth and E. Ninth streets at 9:40 am, before breaking into the cash register and taking the cash.
