Picked pocketbook
A lowlife lifted a woman’s iPhone from her purse inside an 87th Street store on Sept. 7, cops state.
The victim told police she was shopping at the business between Fourth and Fifth avenues around 3:20 pm when a thief reached into her bag and removed her mobile device.
Escape artist
A crook raided a 72nd Street apartment and made off with thousands in jewelry and electronics on Sept. 5, police say.
The victim said he left his pad between Fort Hamilton Parkway and 10th Avenue at 5 pm, and went to visit his mother. When he returned an hour and a half later, he found his fire escape window jimmied open, and his camera, iPad, necklace, car keys, and ring stolen.
Gold mine
A burglar made out like a bandit after breaking into a 68th Street home on Sept. 5, authorities allege.
The victim told cops he took off from his apartment between Fort Hamilton Parkway and 10th Avenue at 7:55 am. When he came back, he found his bedroom window forced open and his safe — containing three Rolex watches, two Tag watches, two Gucci watches, five gold coins, a gold necklace, two gold bracelets, 15 gold chains, 50 gold pendants, five gold diamond rings, a gold and topaz pendant, and his green card — stolen.
Battery charge
A thief swiped a pricey timepiece and $1,800 in cash from a Battery Avenue apartment on Sept. 6, police report.
The victim said she left her basement room near the corner of 88th Street at 7:30 am and came back at 3:30 pm to discover her door kicked open. Once inside, she realized her Raymond Weil watch and cash stash were missing.
Unconditional
A villain heisted a small fortune from a Fifth Avenue apartment by pushing in the air conditioner on Sept. 6, cops say.
The victim said she left her home between 77th and 78th streets at 1 pm and came back at 10:20 pm to find her cooling unit shoved in through the window. Looking around, she found the fiend had taken her gold necklace, two gold bracelets, two black diamond rings, two pairs of diamond earrings, a blue diamond ring, her wedding and engagement bands, her diamond necklace, her diamond bracelets, her Playstation 3, a Spanish sword, two Jagers knives, $26 in loose change, an iPad, a sweatshirt, her credit cards, and her driver’s license.
Plan hatched
A crook busted into a 76th Street home through the roofhatch on Sept. 8, according to cops.
The victim reported that she left her house between Third and Fourth avenues at 1:30 pm and returned at 4:30 pm to find the Bilco door broken. She found no signs of ransacking, but her Dell laptop, iPad, and Playstation were all gone.
