A blaze obliterated two Bay Ridge homes and six cars parked behind them in the early hours of Sept. 9.
The Fire Department said it got a call at 1:42 am about a fire breaking out in the upper floors of a duplex on Dahlgren Place between 88th and 90th Streets. Smoke-eaters rushed to the scene to battle the inferno, which spread to the lower floors and to six autos parked in the backyard. New York’s Bravest were not able to contain the pyre until 4:19 am, and three of them suffered minor injuries. No civilians were hurt.
Sources on the scene reported authorities announcing that the structure would have to be demolished. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
