Stop and frisk
Two femme fatales swiped a woman’s wallet inside an 86th Street store and ran up her credit card bill on Aug. 3, police report
The victim told cops she was shopping at the store between Fourth and Fifth avenues at 5:30 pm, when the shady ladies suddenly brushed up against her — one from the front, the other from the back. She felt one of them touch her purse, but thought nothing of it until she received a call from her bank the next day, asking about recent charges on her plastic. She realized then the two brassy broads had pocketed her wallet.
X-treme crime
A lowlife rode off with two pricey Motocross bicycles from a Ridge Boulevard garage on Aug. 6, according to cops.
The victim reported that her ex-husband was working in the carport for much of the morning, but left — and locked up — at 12:30 pm. When the victim came back to her home between 90th and 91st streets, she discovered the two-wheelers missing.
A real toolbag
A crook cleaned out a Narrows Avenue garage of the owner’s tools on Aug. 6, authorities allege.
The victim said he was working on the side of his house between 77th and 78th streets from 1 pm until 7:30 pm. After wrapping up, he found his carport door pried open and his hammer drill, screwgun, skill saw, chop saw, compressor, framing gun, corded drill, and a case of finish nails all missing.
Dance of death
A punk ripped off a Seventh Avenue dance studio while the owner was away between Aug. 1 and Aug. 5, cops state.
The victim told police she closed down the performance space near the corner of 79th Street at 8 pm, and returned four days later at 4 pm to find the front door lock busted. Inside, a tin box with $20 in cash, $1,000 in checks, and a set of keys was gone.
Frame-up
A burglar broke into a 72nd Street house by removing part of the door frame, and made off with a cache of jewelry from inside on Aug. 9, police say.
The homeowner reported that he left his residence between 10th and 11th avenues at 11 am and returned at 6:15 pm. Upon getting home, he found the moulding off the rear entrance, the door open, and the house ransacked.
The thief made off with a pair of gold earrings, a pair of pearl earrings, a watch, and $500 in cash.
