Police arrested a 35-year-old man for allegedly stealing a car and assaulting another man on Flatbush Avenue on Aug. 5.
The victim said he was trying to repossess two vehicles that belonged to the suspect between Avenues S and T at 7:05 am. The suspect and two cohorts allegedly pushed the victim, struck his arm with a shovel, punched him in the face, and pulled a knife.
The three individuals then allegedly drove away in one of the vehicles after taking keys and a cellphone from the victim’s car.
No weapon, no problem
A 41-year-old man was arrested for attacking another man with electrical wire and a shoe on E. 52nd Street on Aug. 3, police say.
The victim was between Avenues N and O at 9:50 pm when the man allegedly struck his legs, back, and arms with the makeshift weapons, cutting his arm and bruising on his back and legs.
