No fun, no games
Police arrested a 23-year-old man for allegedly stealing a Playstation 3 and assaulting a store clerk at a gaming store on Ralph Avenue back on July 20, 2011.
Police say that two years ago, the suspect was at the store between Avenues K and L at 12:47 pm when he jumped over the gaming console and took it. A clerk locked the front door in an effort to stop him from leaving, but he threw her to the ground and began to kick and punch her, causing her to bruise, police reported.
Fully clothed
A 25-year-old man was arrested for stealing 30 shirts from a store in the Kings Plaza Shopping Center on Avenue U on July 24, police say.
The man allegedly took the shirts, worth $1,600, from the mall between Flatbush Avenue and E. 56th Street at 2:15 pm. He was later found with a black laundry bag containing the shirts and a magnet that police say he used to remove security devices.
Open handed
A 22-year-old woman was arrested for slashing a man’s hand open on Schenectady Avenue on July 26, police say.
The victim was between Avenues N and M at 5 pm when the woman allegedly swung a knife at his face, head, and torso, striking his hand and causing him to bleed excessively. The man was treated at a local hospital.
