Running on empty
A petroleum-thirsty perp stole 300 gallons of gas from a Kings Highway station on July 14 or 15, cops report.
The depot owner said he closed his business near the corner of Stillwell Avenue at 11 pm and returned the next day 11:15 pm to find someone had broken the nozzle on one of the pumps — and had drained out more than a thousand dollars worth of gas.
Off the rim
A crook jacked the tires and flashy hubcap covers from a vehicle left on Shore Parkway on July 11, police state.
The victim said he parked his car near the corner of Bay 13th Street at 12:01 am. When he came back, he found a thief had made off with his treads and rims.
Gym rat
A lowlife lifted a woman’s cash-stuffed bag from the locker of an 86th Street gym, according to cops.
The victim reported that she put her bag — with $500 inside — in the compartment at the fitness facility between 19th and 20th avenues at 6 pm and went to work out. When she returned, the pocketbook was gone.
Padded down
A villain yoinked a woman’s iPad right out of her hands on 83rd Street on July 9, authorities allege.
The victim told cops she was walking between 23rd and 24th avenues at 9:50 pm when the punk ran up and snatched the pricey gadget away. The perp then fled with two companions toward 24th Avenue.
Slice and dice
Three thugs cut up a man on 71st Street on July 10, police report.
The victim said that he was near 16th Avenue at 11 pm when the terrible trio came up and demanded his cash. When he refused, one of savages pulled out a blade and slashed open the man’s arm and hand.
