Shirt off his back
A fashion reject wearing his T-shirt over his face jumped a man for his jewelry on 70th Street on July 9, police say.
The victim reported he was walking between 10th Avenue and Fort Hamilton Parkway at 11 pm when the ruffian ran up behind him and shoved him to the ground. The perp then plucked a platinum ring off the victim’s finger and ripped two necklaces — one diamond and one gold — off of his neck.
Donut run
A thief swiped $200 in cash from a vehicle parked outside a doughnut dealer on 71st Street on July 7, according to cops.
The victim told police he left his car with door the unlocked and windows open outside the breakfast food joint near Third Avenue at 3 pm and ran in to buy coffee. When he came out half an hour later, his money was gone.
Big beef
A money-hungry villain raided a Fourth Avenue steakhouse on July 14, authorities report.
The victim told cops he closed down the restaurant and bar between 94th and 95th streets at midnight. When he re-opened at 6:30 am, he discovered a fiend had made off with $8,000 and a laptop — and had destroyed the establishment’s expensive security system.
Dirty 30
A burglar busted into a popular Third Avenue eatery overnight on July 12 — but found just $30 in the till, police state.
The restaurant’s owner said he locked up the Lebanese food emporium 11:30 pm, and returned at 9 am the next day to find the glass of the front door shattered and the registered emptied — of a surprisingly small amount.
Locked up
A thug stole a woman’s keys on 89th Street on July 11, police report.
The victim said she was walking between Third and Fourth avenues at 2:30 am when the crook ran up behind her and snatched her bag away.
The woman pursued the perp for half a block before finding he had dropped her purse on the ground — without her keys inside.
